Initiate Program

What is the Initiate Program?

The ADF Initiate Program is a course of study and practice for those who wish to expand their training beyond the ADF Dedicant Path. The Initiate Program is a means of going deeper into Druid spirituality and developing our practices, skills, and knowledge.

Who can complete the Initiate Program?

Any ADF member who has completed the Dedicant Path.

How does the Initiate Program differ from the Clergy Training Program?

The purpose of the Initiate Program is to focus on personal spiritual development rather than preparation for ordained ministry.

The Initiate Path is an outgrowth of the desire to balance our worldly scholarship with otherworldly vision and wonder, to plumb the depths of our own nature as human beings and understand how we, ourselves, relate to the cosmos around us.

This is the path of keeping the hearth fires lit and brightly shining, of pushing and challenging oneself in order to understand who we are and where we fit, and of learning how to forge ourselves into shining beings who have deep connections with the forces at play in the cosmos. The Path of an ADF Initiate is built on individual devotion and work, even while it is designed, in the end, to provide service in the form of skilled diviners, magicians, and tranceworkers to the community of ADF.

Can I be both an Initiate and an Ordained Priest?

Yes, and ADF has members who have completed both.

How much does this cost?

All ADF training programs are free for current members.

How can I learn more?

More information is available in the member’s area of the ADF website.
