Dedicant Path
What is the Dedicant Path?
The Dedicant Path is available to all ADF members and consists of approximately a year-long period of study and practice which will acquaint you with the ways of Our Druidry. If you are familiar with other pagan traditions, the Dedicant Path is still useful to understand the ADF-specific traditions.
Many ADF members complete the Dedicant Path for spiritual development and to enrich their druidic practice. Completion of the ADF Dedicant Path is also a preliminary requirement for beginning the Generalist, Guild, Clergy and Initiate Study Programs.
What can I expect from the Dedicant Program?
The Dedicant Path is a structured program that balances learning with practice. The program includes reading, reflection, and ritual work. The Dedicant Path is organized into a series of modules, each with its own requirements, recommended reading, and assignments.
The Dedicant Path is designed for maximum accessibility, and accommodations are available for those with specific learning needs. Dedicants can move through the program at their own pace.
What resources are available to help me with my Dedicant Program?
The Dedicant Path has been walked by many ADF members. This means that a variety of resources are available to assist you on your journey.
In addition to recommended reading, sample rituals, and detailed instructions, Dedicants can request a mentor, connect with other Dedicants for mutual support, and participate in community events and online rituals to assist them with their studies.
How do I get started?
The first step to starting the Dedicant Path is to become a member of ADF. Then it’s just a matter of reaching out to the ADF Preceptor to let them know you’re ready to get started. Once you’ve done so, you’ll receive the materials you’ll need to get going.
